Connect+

Connect+ is a company focused on encouraging the next generation to explore and learn how to live sustainably with other species on earth.

Their first released set, Connect+ Plant, is a STEM learning kit that utilizes IoT technology with Micro:bit to teach children how to plant and care for plants.

I had the honor of designing the packaging, social media content, and mascot for this project.

Design Constraints

The primary constraints for this project were the cost and the uncertainty of the number of accessories to be included in the package.

To keep costs low, I opted for a single-color line design.
Additionally, I designed a square box that would accommodate the final product with less than a 1cm difference, allowing for flexibility in the number of accessories included.

Design Concept

The packaging design features a landscape with four seasons and two times of day on each side, from spring to winter, from day to night, representing the diversity and beauty of the earth's plant life.

The kit is intended for local schools, where students can combine their own packages to create a complete landscape in the classroom.

Impact

Since the packaging forms a complete scene when four boxes are combined, students were excited during the classroom activity where Connect+ promoted the product at a primary school.
They eagerly teamed up with friends to piece the packages together, which I’m glad to see how this design clearly helped spark their interest in the kit.

Social Media Content

Thank you to the Connect+ marketing team for trusting me with part of the graphic design work for their social media content. I'm happy to share that the "Plant Knowledge Class" series helped increase average engagement by over 3200%.

While keeping the hand-drawn style that the team preferred, we also created posts tied to current events to better resonate with the audience.

During festive seasons, we designed celebratory posts featuring the Connect+ kit to bring a warm, personal touch.
